After the award – with praise finally – of the book of the friend Panagiotas Plisi “I am not a monster, I am telling you”, which I presented you the day before yesterday, one other good friend of mine, Dr DESPOINA AFENTOULI, regional councilor of Attica [Athens] and president of the Union of Constantinopolitans and Asians Minor of Northern Attika (she had organized a concert with Vasilis Lekkas, that I had uploaded here [information], where her today’s posing under the “sight” of Konstantinos Palaiologos), was honoured today!
Her first book “The position of the British Press in Greek-Turkish relations 1955-1965” is being presented at the House of Cyprus (see comments).
Mr. Giannis Sgouros, the head of the region of Attica, Mr. Vasilis Kardasis, the Professor of the Department of Economic Sciences of the University of Crete, Mr. Charalampos Koutalakis, lecturer of the University of Athens, Andreas Stergiou, lecturer of the University of Crete and Mr. Giorgos Dardanos, publisher, will [all] speak about the book.
Despina Afentouli was born in 1981 in Athens. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology at Panteion University (the book that is being presented), her postgraduate [degree] in International Journalism (broadcast), specialized in the European Union at London City University (The Annan Plan for Cyprus), as well as her first degree in International and European Studies (The importance of the Battle of Crete, 1941) and Translation – Interpreting (German – English) at Salford University Manchester and Johaness Gutenberg Univesität Frankfurt. She was the student representative of her classmates at the Universities if City and Salford and member of the National Union of Journalists of England (NUJ). She has worked as a journalist in Greece and abroad (BBC, CNN, London Greek Radio, Manchester TV – Channel M, Touristiki Agora, ANT1). She has taught at the Hellenic Schools of Apostle in London, while for two years she was a special advisor at the [Hellenic] Ministry of Education. She was awarded by Cherie Blair for her philanthropic contribution to the programme of inmates’ rehabilitation at Wandsworth Prison in London. She was elected Municipal council of Dionyssos in 2006 and regional councilor of Attica in 2010.

Sweet Despina’s picture Giannis, big advantage the smile…it conquers you straight ahead! Regarding her qualifications and all she has succeeded and managed, congratulations, because it’s a lot considering her age. I would wish that her first book to be the station that will drive her to this accomplishment, that [the presentation] is being co-ordinated by the chosen one K. Vaxevanis it means a lot to me! All the best with her book and [I wish] it will be welcomed in the way it should be! I am glad about the award of the book of P. Plisi, that I will look for to buy, but I am not sure that it is available in the county!
Regarding your video, what can I say, very devoutable. I said a lot, but your post was long and interesting. Goodnight!
