Award-winning director, producer, and writer Elias Kazan (\u201cAmerica America\u201d, \u201cThe Death of a Salesman&#8221;, \u00a0\u201cA Streetcar Named Desire\u201d, \u201cEast of Eden\u201d and others), was a co-founder of the Actors Studio (\u201cMethod Acting\u201d). Kazan directed films dealing with social issues or issues that mattered to him and worked with famous actors (Marlon Brando, James Dean, and others) and highly regarded screenwriters (like Tennessee Williams). The New York Times described Kazan as \u201cone of the most honored and influential directors in Broadway and Hollywood history\u201d.
